The Great Backyard Bird Count is a community science project launched by the Cornell Lab of Ornithology, National Audubon Society, and Birds Canada. Each February, for four days, the world comes together to spend time watching and counting as many birds as they can find. These observations help scientists better understand global bird populations before many species begin their annual migration.
