Kick off the Great Backyard Bird Count with a Guided Bird Walk at Rowe Sanctuary!
Join us at Rowe Sanctuary for a guided bird walk at dawn as we celebrate the start of the Great Backyard Bird Count (GBBC). Participants will observe and count as many birds as possible while learning from experienced birding guides. After the walk, warm up in the visitor center and enjoy a light breakfast while connecting with fellow nature lovers. The bird list from this walk will be officially submitted to GBBC.
What is the Great Backyard Bird Count?
The Great Backyard Bird Count is a global community science project that invites people around the world to observe, identify, and count birds over four days. The data collected helps scientists better understand winter bird populations while encouraging people of all ages to enjoy birding.
Please register for this event so we can have enough breakfast for everyone!
