Join us at Rowe Sanctuary for a special Story Time featuring The Prairie That Nature Built by Marybeth Lorbiecki. Together, we’ll explore the fascinating plants and animals that call the prairie home. After the story, children are invited to explore and learn with a fun, hands-on activity: a “Prairie Search & Find.” Participants will receive a simple worksheet listing various prairie plants and animals featured in the book—like insects, grasses, or grazing creatures—and will race to spot each hidden throughout the nature center. Then, kids can create their own mini prairie scene using natural materials—to bring the book’s vibrant ecosystem to life. Perfect for curious minds and nature lovers of all ages!
