Why We Love Sandhill Cranes
Being part of the crane community has been a staple in Paul Tebbel’s life for 50 of his 70 years. They help keep him grounded and interacting with some of the best people in the country. Cranes are very much like people – Paul likes to call them “people with wings”. His hour-long talk will cover some of the amazing things cranes do and how their bravery and ingenuity have helped them be one of our most successful avian species.
Learn about the Speaker:
Paul Tebbel first encountered sandhill cranes as an undergraduate in the mid-1970’s in Michigan’s Upper Peninsula. For almost 50 years, Paul has worked in conservation and has kept that passion for cranes.
