Audubon’s Rowe Sanctuary will host an evening of live music on the banks of the Platte River on Saturday, August 14. The event will feature smooth blues, jazz and other tunes played by “Blue Plate Special” and Marty Tilley plus brats, burgers and beer. Guests must be 21 and older to attend and registration is required.
“We’re excited to host Blues on the Banks again after such a difficult year,” said Bill Taddicken, center director for Audubon’s Rowe Sanctuary. “There will be great food, great music and a beautiful view of the Platte River.”
The gate will open at 5:00 pm. Guided prairie walks will be offered at 5:15, 5:45 and 6:15 pm. Each walk will last approximately 30 minutes. Food service will begin at 5:45 pm and music will start at 6:45 pm ending at sunset.
For the $20 admission fee, guests will receive three tickets at the door. Each ticket can be used to purchase a brat, burger or beer. Complimentary tea and water will also be available. Guests will be able to purchase additional tickets at the event for $5 each.
