Come visit us along the Platte River

The Iain Nicolson Audubon Center at Rowe Sanctuary is located at the heart of a critical spring staging area for hundreds of thousands of migrating Sandhill Cranes, and visitors can experience one of the last great wildlife migrations on the planet. Outside of the spring migration, the sanctuary boasts close encounters with iconic grassland and riverine birds.

Hours of Operation

Outside of Crane Season, the visitors' center is Monday-Friday from 9 am - 5 pm. We remain open year-round, except most holidays and the week between Christmas and New Year's. Admission is free. Donations are appreciated and go directly towards our conservation work throughout the Central Platte River Valley.

Rowe has over 3 miles of hiking to explore year-round from dawn-dusk. During crane season, access to trails is restricted from 10:00 am - 4:00 pm to prevent disturbance to cranes. Click here to learn more about our trails.
