Water for Birds Speaker and Community Potluck

December 12, 2017 - Gibbon, NE

The Iain Nicolson Audubon Center at Rowe Sanctuary is hosting Jason Farnsworth of the Platte River Recovery Implementation Program for a presentation on Water for Birds Tuesday December 12 at 7:00 pm. A community potluck will be held prior to the presentation, starting at 6:30 pm. If you do not want to join the potluck you can arrive at 7:00pm for the talk.Jason will talk about the Platte River water accounting and flow protection measures that have grown from past conflicts, explore what these protections mean for cranes, and discuss the ways that future water management activities may influence crane habitat. Time will be allotted at the end of his presentation for a questions and answers session.
