The Iain Nicolson Audubon Center at Rowe Sanctuary will present “A Rivers Runs Through It,” its annual fundraising celebration on Saturday, September 22, 2018. Social hour begins at 5:00 pm followed by an outdoor gourmet dinner. Cost is $100 per person, and all proceeds will support Rowe’s efforts to conserve the Platte River for Sandhill and Whooping Cranes, and to provide quality education programs for all ages to experience the joys of nature. Reservations can be made at by clicking the register button or by calling (308) 468-5282 on by September 17.
This year’s dinner will feature a sustainable menu paired with fine wines prepared by Dan Sidner, owner of Black Shoe Hospitality, and Chef Joe Muench of Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
Dan is from Kearney, Nebraska, and is a graduate of the Hotel and Restaurant School at Cornell University. He operated high-end restaurants in Texas, North Carolina, Washington, Colorado and Wisconsin. Joe has been a leading chef in Wisconsin for the last twenty-plus years, and opened up Maxie’s, a Black Shoe Hospitality restaurant, in 2010.
