Staffing Changes at Audubon’s Rowe Sanctuary

Marian Langan Young Conservation Leader chosen plus a new hire and promotion

The Iain Nicolson Audubon Center at Rowe Sanctuary has made exciting staffing changes recently. Cody Wagner was promoted to Conservation Program Manager, Amanda Hegg was hired as the Conservation Program Associate, and Catherine Worley was hired as this year’s Marian Langan Young Conservation Leader.

Cody has been at Rowe for five years in the conservation program. Now, it’s his turn to lead it to continued success with assistance from Amanda, the new associate for the program and former Marian Langan Young Conservation Leader.

“We are very happy to have Cody take the reins and lead the conservation program,” said Bill Taddicken, center director at Rowe Sanctuary. “It was also exciting for us to bring Amanda on as a permanent team member after her successful completion of her internship.”

The Marian Langan Young Conservation Leader is a one year position designed to enhance the skills of a young person in conservation and education. The position was created and funded as a memorial for Marian Langan, a past Audubon Nebraska State Director. This year’s recipient is Catherine Worley from Houston, Texas. She has a B.S. in Ecology and Evolution with experience in prairie restoration, vegetation, and pollinator monitoring. She will assist Amanda and Cody in carrying out the conservation mission as well as working with the education program.
