Our Mission

Our mission is to conserve and restore the Platte River ecosystem, focusing on cranes, other wildlife, and their habitats for the benefit of humanity and the earth's biological diversity.

Year of the Bird

January marks the official launch of the Year of the Bird – an exciting partnership between National Geographic, Audubon, the Cornell Lab of Ornithology, BirdLife International, and dozens of other partners, in honor of the centennial of the Migratory Bird Treaty Act.

The Year of the Bird will be about celebrating the wonder of our feathered friends, examining how our changing environment is driving dramatic losses among bird species, and highlighting what actions people can take to reverse this trend.

Check out the exciting details on National Audubon’s website.
