On Friday, March 31at 1:30 pm and Saturday, April 1, at 10:30 am, Karyn Stockdale, Audubon’s Director of the Western Waters Initiative, will be at Iain Nicolson Audubon Center at Rowe Sanctuary to speak about the work of the initiative. The Colorado River is the lifeblood of the American West, and the wetlands and riparian forests along its banks provide critical habitat for hundreds of species of birds. That habitat is rapidly drying up with ongoing drought and water demands from growing cities and agriculture. In 2017, there are exceptional opportunities for Audubon and partners to influence Colorado River water management and work towards collaborative water sharing agreements.
Consider joining Karyn and Rowe Sanctuary for an informative talk on: Water in the West: Focus on the Colorado River.
